New Layout: Let Go...

Ahh...a new layout. Note, that I did not make this template but got it from here. I decided that I needed to revamp this now that I'm taking a break as a professional. In the previous blog I talked about parting with video and graphic work. I lied, well sort of. Video and graphic design is such a big part of my life that I could not imagine parting ways with it permanently or completely. After a few conversations with some friends and thinking about it over night. I've decided to not part ways, however I will be very selective with what I do. I will not be accepting any projects that pays or I say yes because I feel pity for others and lastly I will (hopefully) not say Yes to any project suggested or given-this is going to take lots of practice. Instead I will be accepting or choosing projects that I actually am passionate about.  Saying this means that the following projects will be closed:

Productions (Filming, editing, promoting etc):

The F.E.A.R. Productions
426 (movie)

Music (beat making, lyrics, etc):
DJ Fear -Anything Involving
Chung Yan-Anything Involving
Palimo-Anything Involving

Miscellaneous:
Anything involving with Crista Ministries (King's Schools, and Nursing Center)

Web Designs (for any sites or anybody I've helped since 2004)
Graphic Designs (for any sites or anybody I've helped since 2004)
Club Heaven
Rave Promotions
Club Trinity
Video Editing tutorials
Animation Tutorials
How To Use Software Tutorials

Confused? Be very confused. I never really talked about a lot of these projects because I thought they were  minor and not really a big deal or I just didn't have the time to. Come on, look at my blog post archive I potentially have like 4 if at that. I try to be universal when it comes to technology, I don't do just video editing and filming and graphics. I helped produced 3 artists and about 25 tracks of music. I use to be a DJ, worked at multiple clubs , a club and rave promoter. I've been doing this line of work since like 2002, yup since Jr. High School.

So you may ask then what the douche are you actually still doing? Well the answer is simple. You will see!

My goal in this is to sort things out that are going on in my personal life. However, I am hoping that I can sort things out with a mesh of technology. That I can use video editing, photography, etc. and hopefully that will help me sort out my life, essentially to let go of my past. Thats right, thats the new title to this blog "let go" There are a lot of things in my past that I've avoided dealing with since I was 5. I have done many things in my life that I regret but haven't really grown from. All throughout my years, I had tried to cover up my street life and much more by being the "prodigy Asian child" Fixing all the problems around me, but because I fixed it I never dealt with it. So now I will be taking a couple steps back to move forward.

So why new layout? A new beginning documenting hopefully will be a good and new change. I was actually picky about my layout this time. I was going through the templates they had. I was very tempted to choose something very "Jr. High" full of angsty teenagers etc. Or even choosing colors that are incredibly blinding to the eyes like Bright lime green or hot pink. Or even choosing templates where the background image is so strong that one can barely even read the text causing one to squint at the computer screen. I'm not going to lie, I'm still adapting to the whole thing of being 20. I was very tempted in choosing a template like these:
DJ

City Lights

Now, how many of you have chosen templates like these, I'm not going to judge cause I was once and perhaps is still am one of those teenagers. What can I say? I'm a sucker for city lights. Now why did I choose the one I have now? I personally wanted to stay away from an all black background and go with something lighter or perhaps even white, however I saw this one and thought it was just perfect. It had my favorite colors (back to the whole Jr. high thing XD). I really liked the boldness and how the title and subtitle stuck out at the top. The rainbow colors, showing versatility. Overall, I felt it gave that professional vibe with a mesh of Jr. High colors. I feel like this template will show the transition I'm going through in sorting out my past and present. Note, there are still a couple of html and css things I need to work on for this template.

Now, that this post is coming to an end, if you actually read all of this. Why this post? To inform all of you that have been emailing me for tutorials and questions for anything related to technology. I might respond if the questions are short and easy but don't expect a reply from me. Sorry. I wish you all the greatest luck.

Valentines and Crista Randomness

Forewarning: this is going to be a long post...

As some of you may know I will be taking a break from video/graphic work. I realized that there are some things I really need to sort out in my personal life and I really was not working on that because I used video/graphic design to avoid it. I may be back or I may not. However, I will be doing graphic designs/videos for Relay for Life UW because I had prior commitments and this Crista Auction Video that I had already committed to. As a result the movies I had lined up to film and produce and anything involving the F.E.A.R. Productions are being on hold. Now that all of this is said lets continue on with the important stuff: graphics and video. Enjoy!

Relay for life has asked me to make a few posters/fliers for our Valentines day sale, t-shirt sales and overhead design for the Team Captains meeting. The Valentines Day sale was quite hard because if you know me, you will know I am basically the "Anti"-Romantic. For this design they had asked me to make a poster/flier that goes along the theme of "Kisses for a Cure" I basically find some pics on sxc.hu and made them transparent adding some text to it. I was super proud of myself when I added the pink ribbons and the text onto the red valentines day gift =D So here it is:

This was perhaps the easiest flier I've ever made. Just toke the .jpeg of the shirts and added some text to it:

This was pretty easy as well. I designed the paw print in Photoshop and then exported it to illustrator and added text to it:

Alright well I guess this is it for this post!
