I was very grateful for yesterday. Weather last week said yesterday was going to be sunny, than the weather changed and it was said to be pouring rain with lots of clouds. I woke up and looked outside the window and it was pouring rain, waited at my bus stop went to work still pouring rain, got off work around 12:00 and waited at the bus stop. Not pouring but drizzling. I got to northgate, than after a couple errands went to Kerry Park to film. It did not rain one bit during filming except for the last 5-10 minutes. The clouds did not cover the view whatsoever, instead it gave it an actual dramatic look to the Space Needle, allowng me to maybe put lightning around the space needle. I haven't actually edited the video yet, so I don't know what my animation capabilities at this point is. In addidtion, I was missing 3-4 actors, but we changed the plot a bit and made it work with the people we did have. I was very grateful for the patience of the actors during that whole time, because at that point we were just taking it as it goes.
One of my friends from UW that came with and helped out was amazing. I never realized how nice it is to have someone that knows about filming and editing to be there! She had great advice and filled in as one of the actors, she filmed everything except for the scenes that she was in. If you don't know, I HATE filming, massively hate. I enjoy editing but I do not like filming and avoid it at all costs. It was nice to not have to film for most of it. She was able to understand what I want and what I mean when I was talking about how to film it and the different cuts etc. Its nice to have a team. For a really long time, filming for videos was not fun, but yesterday it was, we had lots of laughs and got some work done. I'm excited about this project, however, we had to use some ghetto of equipment and I really hope that doesn't show up in the video. Well thats it for now.
